ReplyDeleteI find your blog utterly gorgeous and full of all the things I like about 'old' homes and 'things'!
I have two wooden stools made by a gentleman who dabbled with wood and whose wife painted most of his wooden objects' base colours and he then painted such things as , snowdrops, willow and leaves on them. The two stools are made from the remnants of a 400+ yrs old Barn Door! I love them! I must do a post on my blog re- his work.

we are going to be building a house soon and its going to be all concrete polished floor, its going to be curved, it will have some straw-bale render, a big slanted (curved)roof lots of windows, modern french doors!!..rustic fittings and hopefully we will be able to tie it all in.....and your blog gives me so many great ideas!
